Review By : David Nicholson
A full house eagerly waiting for the Best Tribute Band of the World's Very Best Rock Band, The Rolling Stones. We were not disappointed in any way. Those of us at Mr.Kyps were treated to a magical entertaining two hours of non-stop hits, with 'B' sides and lesser known tracks of (for some)the best years of the Stones, the '60's, all blended together to keep this audience and even the truest afficianado, Satisfied.
The Rollin' Stoned still amaze and delight in that they get better with every gig. The sounds, the looks and attention to details, the antics, and what really comes across to us, the raw energy pulsating across the footlights which all comes together and involves us as an integral part of the show. What's more and has probably been said a million times, we are right up alongside the band, not miles away in Row ZZ, but just as it was in their heyday, in the Clubs just like Mr.kyps, as they made their way onwards and upwards into Rock's Hall of Fame.
But wait, we were there! We know what a superb night it was.
We were all hoarse trying to emulate Sir Mick, our hands were sore with the applause that they earnt and we showed that we wanted more! So for those of you who missed out on this night, for whatever reason, it was your loss. For us, who were there, remind your mates what they missed out on, and with luck they can join you when the 'Stoned' return next year. One thing is for certain, my friends and I will be there without a shadow of doubt.
The DJ was right on and gave a good lead in to the live show, the lights and sound were spot-on, so thanks to Mr.Kyp and all his staff.
And finally, thank you to The Rollin' Stoned, for transporting me way, way back to those magical and sometimes forgotten years of the 60's. They were Good Times times
